Kat White is an indie-folk singer-songwriter based in Oakland, CA. Kat teaches guitar and ukulele lessons and often makes up little songs with her students for them to practice. These little songs were the inspiration for Kat’s debut children’s album, In the Eye of the Owl, a collection of harmony-rich, whimsical, and earnest yet snarky songs about animals.
Kat resides in the Oakland hills with her musician/arborist husband Joe, and two charming cats named Rocky and Little Man. When she is not teaching lessons or playing music, she may be found hiking, cooking, or flower gardening.
